This policy explains how Lens (lens.witsauce.com) and witsauce.com use cookies and similar technologies such as local storage. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What these are
Cookies are small files saved on your browser. Local storage and similar tools do the same job inside your browser. They help a site remember you, keep you signed in, and measure how it is used.
2. What we use
Essential (needed for the service to work)
- Sign-in and session data from Firebase Authentication, which keeps you logged in
- Security and load-balancing data from our hosting provider
These cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in.
Analytics (help us understand and improve the product)
- Google Analytics: records visits and key actions such as page views and purchases, using cookies set by Google
- PostHog: records product usage events so we can see which features are used and where people get stuck
Error monitoring
- Sentry: records technical errors so we can fix them
Payments
- When you pay, Razorpay's checkout may set its own cookies to process and secure the payment. Their use is covered by Razorpay's own policies.
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
3. Third-party cookies
Google, PostHog, Sentry and Razorpay may set cookies or read similar data in line with their own privacy policies.
4. Your choices
- Browser settings: you can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser. Blocking essential ones will stop sign-in from working.
- Google Analytics:you can use Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Privacy tools: browser extensions that block analytics scripts will work with Lens. Core features keep working without analytics.
- Ask us: write to hello@witsauce.com if you want help with your choices.
5. Changes
We may update this policy, and will change the "Last updated" date when we do.
